Racing

There are many options for those looking to improve their racing skills--or compete on the slopes!  Scroll down for details...

Learn to Race Program

BMBW Racing PicBMBW offers its Learn to Race Program from 7pm-9pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. Lessons for skiers are held all three nights at Boston Mills, and lessons for snowboarders are held on Wednesday nights only at Brandywine. In this weekly program you will learn the tools to improve your skiing and racing ability for any condition you encounter on the slopes.

Our staff promotes a “keep moving” environment with plenty of activities on it race hills. Come learn all the race aspects from start to finish, or just use our training course for pleasure. We try to accommodate all. The key to success in this program is communication so tell us what you want. If it is technical jargon you like we can go techie. If you like to use the K.I.S (keep it simple) method instead, well, so do we!

The important thing to remember is that ski racing and snowboard racing are individual sports. We do have some group activities throughout the evening, but most of your race experience will be on an individualized basis. The intensity of this program is set by the participant.

Racing creates a new challenge on our trails, so safety is of the utmost importance. Snow conditions will dictate clinic activities. Please attend with properly adjusted and tuned equipment, and understand that you must attend the session for which you sign up each week. There are no makeup sessions if a program participant is unable to attend a regularly scheduled class, but if BMBW must cancel then a makeup session will be added onto the end of the program accordingly.
